Summary

Store a member's supporting details in CAMS so their KYC record is complete and ready for verification.

You add documents, income, residence, bank or mobile-money, and assets on the member's profile tabs.

About 6 minutes · 6 steps.

Prerequisites

  • An admin login for CAMS with rights to open and edit members.
  • The member's information ready, such as ID document, income source, home address, bank or mobile-money number, and any assets.

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in to CAMS Admin. If you are not sure how, see How to sign in and navigate CAMS Admin.
  2. In the left menu, open Client and find the member. Click the member's name to open the profile.
  3. Look at the row of profile tabs near the top. Each kind of detail has its own tab: KYC, Residence, Income, Bank, and Assets. The Summary tab shows Membership Details, Contact Information, Personal Details and Identity Number.

  1. Open the KYC tab to add the member's identity documents and verification details. This is the record used to confirm who the member is.
  2. Open the Residence, Income, Bank and Assets tabs in turn. Add the address, income sources, bank or mobile-money (MNO) details, and member assets.
  3. After filling in each tab, save your changes before moving to the next tab.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • Where is the bank or mobile-money field? Both live on the Bank tab. Mobile-money is shown as MNO details, so use that tab for M-Pesa or similar numbers.
  • Do I have to fill every tab at once? No. Each tab saves on its own, so you can add KYC today and come back for Income or Assets later.
  • My changes did not stay. You likely moved to another tab before saving. Open the tab again, enter the details, and save that tab before leaving it.
  • What does the KYC tab feed? The KYC documents and details build the member's verification record, so keep them accurate and up to date.
  • I cannot see a tab I expected. Some tabs depend on your SACCO's setup and your access rights. Ask your administrator if a tab is missing for you.
