How to contribute to your savings

Prerequisites

• You're signed in. If you're not sure how, see How to sign in to the member app.
• The mobile-money line you'll pay from, with enough balance.

Step-by-step

1. Sign in and tap your group. You'll see your dashboard.
2. Under Savings, tap Contribute. The Make your contribution form opens.

1. Under Choose savings account, pick the account you want to pay into.
2. In Enter amount, type how much you want to save.
3. (Optional) Add a Message so you remember what the contribution was for.
4. Tap Contribute and follow the prompt to complete the payment. Once it goes through, the amount is added to your savings.

Note: Money paid in can take a few minutes to show in My Contributions. Pull down to refresh if you don't see it straight away.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

• The Contribute button is greyed out. You haven't filled both required parts — choose a savings account and enter an amount, and it turns on.
• There's no account in the list. Your SACCO sets up your savings accounts. If the list is empty, contact them.
• I paid but my savings didn't change. Give it a few minutes and refresh. If it still doesn't show, contact the SACCO with the date and amount.
• Which account should I choose? If you have more than one, pick the savings product you meant to add to — ask the SACCO if you're unsure.
