Summary
Send an SMS to your members from CAMS — to one person or a whole group — using a ready-made message template. About 4 minutes · 8 steps. Also called: text message, bulk SMS, broadcast, notify members, send a message.
Prerequisites
Your CAMS sign-in, with permission to use Messages. If you don't see Messages in the left menu, ask an administrator to give you access.
Enough SMS credits on the Message Service. If you're low, top up first — see "It says I don't have enough credits" below.
An enabled SMS Template for the message you want to send. Only enabled templates can be sent. To make one: Messages > Messages > Create, set Type to SMS, then turn on Enable.
Your recipients ready: either a Segment (a saved group of members) or the individual members you want to message.
Step-by-step
Sign in to CAMS.
In the left menu, click Messages. You'll see the Message Service, with your available SMS credits shown at the top.
Click Send Message. The send form opens.
Set Type to SMS and choose your Company.
Choose the Template (only enabled SMS templates appear in the list) and a Sender. The sender is the name or number the text comes from.
Choose who receives it. Pick a Segment to reach a whole group at once, or select individual members under the Users option.
Tip: Send a test to your own number first. Use Send test to check the wording before it goes to every member — it's the easiest way to catch a wrong template or a typo.
Click Send Message. The message goes out to everyone you chose.
Open the Logs tab to confirm it worked. Each row shows the delivery status, the recipient, the template used, and the credits it used.
Common pitfalls & FAQ
I don't see Messages in the menu. Your role may not include messaging. Ask an administrator to give you access.
The template list is empty, or my template isn't there. Only enabled SMS templates can be sent. Open Messages > Messages, find your template, check its Type is SMS, and turn on Enable. To make a new one, click Create.
It says I don't have enough credits. SMS sends use credits. Check the balance at the top of Messages, click Recharge, enter how many credits to buy and a short description, then confirm. The dialog shows your Wakandi Business Account balance and the cost before you pay.
How do I message a whole group? Build a Segment once and reuse it. Go to Messages > Segments > Create, give it a name and filters (for example by branch or role), and save it. Then pick that segment in Send Message.
A member doesn't want texts. Open Messages > Users, find the member, and switch SMS off. You can switch it back on later.
Did it actually send? Open the Logs tab. It lists each message's delivery status, recipient, template, and credits used — use it to confirm delivery or to troubleshoot.
The message read wrong after I sent it. The wording comes from the template. Edit it under Messages > Messages, and send a test to yourself before the next broadcast.
