Summary

Add money to your SACCO's Wakandi Business Account so CAMS keeps covering the services you use.

Top up the Fees Wallet for service charges, or deposit into the Collection and Disbursement wallet for member transactions.

About 2 minutes · 8 steps.

Prerequisites

  • An admin login that can open the Business Account module.
  • The amount you want to add and the payer's phone number.
  • A mobile-money provider to pay from (for example, AIRTEL).

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in to CAMS Admin. If you are not sure how, see How to sign in and navigate CAMS Admin.
  2. In the left menu, click Business Account. The dashboard shows your Fees Wallet balance, any Due Amount, and the account Status.

  1. Choose what you are funding:
  • Top Up adds money to the Fees Wallet. This wallet pays the platform's prepaid charges, such as the monthly Subscription fee, SMS/message charges, and per-transaction or lookup fees (for example CRB and National ID checks).
  • Deposit adds money to the Collection and Disbursement Wallet, used for member transactions and disbursements.
  • QuickLoan Top Up funds the QuickLoan facility.
  1. Enter the Amount.
  2. Enter the Payer — the name or phone number the money comes from.
  3. Choose the Provider (for example, AIRTEL). You can add a Message if you want a note on the record.
  4. Click Save. The money is added to the wallet you chose.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • The Save button is greyed out. Amount, Payer, and Provider are all required. Save turns on once the three are filled.
  • Should I use Top Up or Deposit? Top Up feeds the Fees Wallet, where CAMS takes service charges from. Deposit feeds the Collection and Disbursement Wallet for member money and payouts.
  • A service charge still failed after I added money. Charges come out of the Fees Wallet. If you used Deposit, that balance does not change — add the funds again with Top Up.
  • What actually reaches my bank? Only the amount shown under Pending Settlement moves to your bank in the next settlement cycle.
