About 3 minutes · 4 steps.
Prerequisites
An admin account that can open member profiles in CAMS Admin.
The member already added in CAMS, so you can find their profile.
The member's phone nearby or reachable, because the one-time code goes to their phone.
Go to Client and open the member you want. You can search by name to find them.
On the member profile, look at the profile actions. The PIN they use for USSD and mobile transactions is the transaction security PIN. CAMS does not show the PIN in plain text for security reasons.
Choose the Send USSD PIN OTP action. This sends the member a one-time code on their phone. The member uses that code to set a new PIN or reset a forgotten one.
Common pitfalls & FAQ
Can I see the member's current PIN? No. The PIN is kept secret and is never shown to admins. You can only help the member set a new one with Send USSD PIN OTP.
When should I send the OTP? Send it when a member forgets their PIN, or when a new member needs to set one for the first time.
The member did not get the code. Check that their phone number on the profile is correct, then send Send USSD PIN OTP again. Network delays can hold the message for a short time.
What are the other buttons near it for?Deactivate and Activate turn the member on or off, and Reinvite sends them an invite again. These do not change the PIN.
Does sending a new code lock the old PIN? The member sets a fresh PIN with the code. They use that new PIN from then on.
