Version 1 · Updated 17 Jun 2026

Summary

Get a small instant loan in the member app in a few taps, paid straight to your mobile money.

About 2 minutes · 5 steps. Also called: instant loan, quick loan, mobile loan, fast cash.

Prerequisites

  • You're signed in. If you're not sure how, see How to sign in to the member app.
  • An eligible account — the form shows the amount you're allowed to borrow. If it shows nothing to borrow, see the pitfalls below.

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in and tap your group. You'll see your dashboard.
  2. Under Quick Loan, tap Apply Now. The Quick Loan form opens.

The Quick Loan form: choose a loan product, the eligible amount slider, the repayment period, where to receive the funds, and the Apply Now button

  1. Under Choose loan product, pick the product you want to borrow against.
  2. Set the amount with the slider (or type it in the box). You can't go above the eligible amount shown.
  3. Set the period under For how many days you want to borrow?, then check Where would you like to receive fund? — this is the mobile-money line the money is sent to.
  4. Tap Apply Now. You'll see a confirmation, and approved funds are sent to your mobile money.
Note: A Quick Loan is real money you must repay, with fees and a due date. Borrow only what you can pay back on time. You repay it from the My Loans section.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • The eligible amount is 0 / I can't borrow. Quick Loan limits are based on your savings and history with the SACCO. Keep contributing, and clear any overdue loan first. You also can't take a new Quick Loan while an old one is unpaid.
  • The product list is empty. Your SACCO may not have a Quick Loan product set up, or none is open to you yet. Contact the SACCO.
  • Can I change where the money is sent? The destination is your registered mobile-money line. If it's wrong, ask the SACCO to update your number.
  • I tapped Apply but saw an error. Check your amount is within the eligible range and the period is set, then try again. If it keeps failing, contact the SACCO.
