Summary

Review a member's loan application in CAMS Admin and approve, reject, or hold it.

Approving moves the loan forward to the next stage, so check the figures and amounts before you decide.

About 5 minutes · 6 steps.

Prerequisites

  • A CAMS Admin login with rights to review loan applications.
  • The member's name or application so you can find the right row.
  • Any supporting documents you need to check, such as payslips or guarantor details.

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in to CAMS Admin. If you are not sure how, see How to sign in and navigate CAMS Admin.
  2. In the left menu, open Accounts > Applications. The Loan Applications screen opens.
  3. Use the tabs to find the application. Pending shows applications waiting for a decision, Approved shows ones already approved, and All shows every application. Read the columns Member Name, Product, Loan Officer, Stage, Status, Tenure, Created Date, and Loan Amount to spot the right one.

  1. Click the application row to open its details. Review the Application Summary, Financial Details, and Member Details. You can also check Approval history, Notes, Score history, and Audit history. If you have a comment for the next reviewer, use Add Note.
  2. Make your decision using the action buttons. Click Approve to move the application forward, Hold to pause it while you wait for documents or answers, or Reject to decline it.

  1. Confirm the decision if CAMS asks you to. The Status updates, and an approved application moves on to the next stage or to disbursement.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • Why is the application not gone after I clicked Approve? Approval can have more than one stage. Your approval moves it to the next stage, where another officer may need to approve it too. Check the Stage column.
  • What is the difference between Hold and Reject? Hold pauses the application so you can return to it later, and it stays in the list. Reject declines it for good, though it stays in the history for audit.
  • I cannot see the application I expect. Check that you are on the right tab. A waiting application sits under Pending, not Approved.
  • Should I add a note before I decide? Yes, when you put an application on hold or hand it to another reviewer. Use Add Note so the next person knows what you checked.
  • Can I undo an approval? No, you cannot reverse it from this screen. Look carefully at the Loan Amount and Financial Details before you click Approve.
