Find your way around the member app

Version 1 · Updated 17 Jun 2026

Summary

A tour of your member dashboard, so you know where to see your savings, loans, and shares, and where to apply or contribute.

About 2 minutes to read. Also called: home screen, member dashboard, member portal tour.

Prerequisites

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in and tap your group. You'll see your dashboard.

The member app dashboard showing the Loan, Quick Loan and Savings actions and the My Loans, My Contributions and Shares balances

Then, the main things on this screen:

  1. Your details (top). Your Name, Member ID, and Reference Number. Use the Reference Number when you pay in by mobile money or bank, so the money reaches your account.
  2. Loan — Apply Now. Starts a normal loan application. See the Apply for a loan guide.
  3. Savings — Contribute / Withdraw. Pay money into your savings, or request to take some out. See the savings how-tos.
  4. Quick Loan — Apply Now. A fast, small loan with just a few taps. See the Apply for a Quick Loan guide.
  5. Pending Fee — Pay Now. Shows any charges you owe. If the amount is above 0, settle it here to avoid penalties.
  6. My Loans — See Details. Your total loan balance and how many loans you have. Open it to see each loan and to repay.
  7. My Contributions — See Details. Your total savings balance. Open it to see your contribution history.
  8. Shares — See Details. Your share balance and the number of shares you hold.
  9. Top menu. Your Groups (switch SACCO), Profile (your personal details), More (Language, Documents, Bank Details, Mobile money / MNO Details), and the bell for Notifications.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • I don't see one of these sections. The dashboard only shows what your SACCO offers. If your SACCO doesn't run, say, Quick Loans, that tile won't appear.
  • What do CR and DR mean on the balances? CR means money in your favour (your savings or shares). DR on a loan is the amount you still owe. Compare the figure, not the label.
  • I'm seeing the wrong group's money. Tap Your Groups at the top and choose the right one.
  • What is the Reference Number for? It links a payment to you. Always include it when you send money in, or the SACCO may not know whose account to credit.
