A running disbursed loan that your credit policy allows topping up.
The extra amount and payout method agreed with the member.
Step-by-step
Sign in to CAMS.
In the left menu, click Accounts, then Loans, and search the member's name or account number on the Active tab.

Set the new Tenure, then the Balance Capitalized Type — how the existing balance rolls into the new loan (such as Due Loan Balance).
Enter the Additional Amount, the extra money you are lending. CAMS adds it to the outstanding balance and fills New Loan Principal Amount and Disburse Amount.

To change the balance carried over, tick Adjust Existing Loan Outstanding Amount and set the figures.
Check New Loan Principal Amount and Disburse Amount, then click Submit. The Schedule tab shows the rebuilt plan; Transactions the disbursement entry.
Note: A top-up raises what the member owes and rebuilds the loan on the new principal and tenure, so the instalment changes. Confirm the new repayment with the member before you submit.
Common pitfalls & FAQ
Loan Top-Up is missing or greyed out. It shows on a disbursed loan only, and your role must allow disbursements. A closed, fully paid or written-off loan cannot be topped up.
I can't find the loan, or nothing paid out. After you submit, the old account shows Topped Up under Closed. If no money moved, approval rules may hold it until an approver releases the money.
Additional Amount or Disburse Amount? The Additional Amount is the new money. The Disburse Amount is what goes out now, which differs once the carried balance and charges apply.
Top-up or reschedule? A top-up lends new money and raises the principal. Reschedule Loan changes the terms of debt already owed — the next lesson.
