How to top up your SMS balance

1On Message Service, the header shows your SMS Credits. Note that figure, then click Recharge at the top right to buy more.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Messages (see The Message Service screen).
  • Money in your Wakandi Business Account, the wallet credits are paid from (see How to top up the Wakandi Business Account).

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in to CAMS.
  2. In the left menu, click Messages. Note the SMS Credits figure in the header so you can compare it afterwards.
  3. In the header, click Recharge. The Recharge Credits screen opens. Wait for it to finish loading before you type.
  4. In Credit, enter how many credits to buy. The field takes numbers only, and the lowest is 1. A Description is optional.

  5. Compare Total Cost with WBA Balance. Buy only what the wallet can cover.
  6. Click Buy Credits. The purchase is taken from your Wakandi Business Account.
  7. Back on Message Service, click Refresh. SMS Credits now shows the higher balance.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • Buy Credits stays greyed out. Put a number in Credit first. The button stays disabled until there is an amount to buy.
  • The wallet cannot cover it. Add money to the Business Account first, then come back and recharge.
  • The balance did not change. Click Refresh again, and confirm the purchase went through before you buy more.
  • Where do I see the credits I have used? The Logs tab lists each send with a Credits column.
  • I opened Recharge by mistake. Click Cancel. Nothing is bought and no money leaves the wallet.
