Auto-Debit becomes Standing Instructions
Planned for: 20 October 2026
Plans can change between now and release day. Anything below can move to a later build.
Summary
Five items are planned. CAMS auto debit is replaced with Standing Instructions, configurable rules that link a member, a source account and what gets deducted, starting with Quick Loan repayments swept from savings on the due date, and a reducing-balance loan interest and statement accuracy overhaul lands alongside, with Admin Security gaining extended access controls.
Coming soon
- CAMS auto debit is replaced with Standing Instructions: configurable rules linked to a member and a source account, starting with Quick Loan repayments swept from savings on the due date.
- A reducing-balance loan interest overhaul is planned: accrual frequency becomes configurable to daily or monthly, lump-sum payments apply correctly to principal, and loan balances stay consistent across the member app, USSD and admin.
- Loan and member statements are reworked for clarity, separating principal, interest and charges, and adding a running balance.
- Admin Security gains extended access controls, covering user access status and an approval step for security-sensitive changes.
- Group charges left pending while auto debit was inactive for groups will be processed.
