Tax rates in CAMS, and a run of reporting fixes

Summary

Twelve items shipped. CAMS now supports tax rates, so loan charges and member charges can carry a configured tax that is split out and tracked separately from the fee itself, and date column filters across every CAMS report work again after returning a blank report instead of the matching rows.

What's new

  • A Check Provider Status action on the Online Transaction tab shows what the payment provider reports for a single transaction, live.
  • Creating a new institution no longer fails with an accounting error.
  • Member data import now accepts the Gender field in any letter case, instead of rejecting anything that is not title case.
  • Searching the Requests page by timestamp no longer returns an internal error.
  • Clicking the additional options menu for an added loan guarantor no longer makes the system stop responding.
  • Back navigation in the redesigned admin view is improved, so moving between a member's loans no longer means searching for the member again.
  • The Daily Transaction Report no longer times out on download, at an institution in Uganda.
  • A separate transaction report that failed to download now downloads.
  • A mismatch between the balances in financial reports is corrected, at an institution in Uganda.
  • A mismatch between the Monthly Trial Balance and the Income Statement is corrected, at an institution in Tanzania.
  • An opening balance that no longer matched the prior year's closing balance is corrected, at an institution in Kenya.

What this means for you

Tax rates are configured per charge, so nothing changes until someone sets a rate. If you have been filtering a report by date and getting nothing back, that now works, and you do not need to do anything for it.
