What are SMS Segments and Templates?

Segments:These are the recipients of the SMS. In our case, they are the members of SACCOs and MFIs.
If the segment is not created, there will be no list of members to receive the SMS.

Templates: Is the content of the sms you are sending it is also know as Message i.e a reminder for members to come for the weekly meetings etc.

Types of sms templates

1. Marketing Templates
   These are SMS messages written and sent to members by the admins. They can include reminders to save, holiday wishes, meeting information, among others.
2. Transaction Templates
   These are SMS messages sent to members or admins automatically from the system whenever a transaction is made.
   Transactional SMS includes: Debit Transaction Message, Group Transaction Message, Credit Transaction Message, Loan Repayment Message, etc.
3. Invitation Templates
   These are sms sent to members automatically from the system when they are being invited to join a group by group we mean sacco or MFI.
4. Jobs Templates
   These are sms sent automatically from the system whenever there is an auto bedit done, any deletion done in the system and any otp sent out.
   They include: otpmessage, OnlineWithdrawalMessage, AccrualJobMessage, TenantDeletionJobMessage, SubscriptionChargeMessage, RegistrationChargeMessage, etc.
5. Login Templates
   These are SMS messages sent automatically from the system for notification purposes, such as when you have a due loan or when you default on a loan.
   They include: LoanDefaultGuarantorNotificationMessage, LoanInstallmentDueNotificationMessage, LoanDefaultNotificationMessage, etc
