Summary

Eight items are planned. Wakandi's own fees move to a new collection method: instead of an institution topping up its Wakandi Business Account before a fee is charged, the fee is collected from the institution's connected bank account once the transaction has gone through. A credit report or ID verification that fails will no longer be marked complete or charged to the member, and a run of loan and import fixes rounds out the release.

Coming soon

  • Wakandi's own fees will be collected from the institution's connected bank account once an online transaction has gone through, instead of requiring a Wakandi Business Account top-up first. Online transactions come first; other channels are unchanged for now.
  • A credit report or ID verification request that fails will no longer be marked complete or charged to the member; failed requests will be reversed correctly.
  • Importing a Quick Loan credit limit will no longer reject existing members with a "user does not exist" error.
  • Bulk loan repayment import will stop rejecting valid uploads with a "Wrong Product" error, and removing a repayment will no longer be blocked by an incorrect overpayment check.
  • Loan repayments will stop getting stuck after a prior-year interest recalculation, at an institution in Tanzania.
  • Editing a member's details from a group's Members tab will open the member's profile again, at an institution in Kenya.
  • A loan schedule that still shows an installment as overdue after it has been paid in full will be fixed, at an institution in Uganda.
  • Fee collection on online payments will be updated so an institution's fees settle reliably alongside the payment.

What this means for you

Nothing here needs preparation. If your institution tops up a Wakandi Business Account so that fees can be charged, that is the step the fee change is designed to remove.
