a stuck-payment fix, and a Quick Loan wallet safeguard
Planned for: 13 October 2026
Plans can change between now and release day. Anything below can move to a later build.
Summary
Fourteen items are planned. An online payment that gets stuck mid-process will be automatically recovered and credited instead of leaving a confirmed payment uncollected, and a Quick Loan wallet's balance will be protected while a settlement is in progress, alongside a cluster of loan closure fixes and a run of smaller improvements.
Coming soon
- An online collection payment that gets stuck mid-process will be automatically recovered and credited, instead of leaving a confirmed payment uncollected.
- A Quick Loan wallet's balance will be reserved while a settlement is in progress, so it can no longer be spent before the settlement completes.
- A cluster of loan closure and Overpaid-status inconsistencies is being fixed: a fully paid loan will auto-close, a loan with a zero outstanding balance will stop showing as Overpaid, and Release Funds will work correctly at a zero balance, at institutions in Kenya and Tanzania.
- A group member without direct SACCO registration will be assignable a branch, so their loan repayments can be processed at the teller.
- Blacklisting defaulters from the Quick Loan product will be supported.
- New loans will no longer be wrongly blocked when a member's savings appear insufficient to guarantee them.
- Savings balances will no longer be miscalculated because of amounts held as loan guarantees.
- Switching the financial year in Accounting will be able to apply to just the user doing it, instead of moving every other user in the SACCO to that year too.
- A bulk SMS sent from a message template will no longer send literal placeholder text instead of the recipient's and SACCO's actual names, at an institution in Kenya.
- USSD Pay to Account will support repaying a loan account on someone else's behalf, not just a savings account, at an institution in Kenya.
- The Maker-Checker approval flow is becoming configurable, so an approved request can either close out or return to the original requester.
- A wider round of Admin App V2 interface fixes is planned, covering areas like file previews, client and account updates, loan application visibility, and missing confirmation messages.
- A migrated loan account incorrectly showing a negative outstanding balance, which blocks repayments, will be corrected.
- Editing a loan policy charge configured as a fixed percentage will no longer be blocked by an incorrect minimum-value check.
