a postpaid invoicing fix, and a new reconciliation report

Planned for: 8 October 2026

Plans can change between now and release day. Anything below can move to a later build.

Summary

Seventeen items are planned, three of them already done. An order that actually failed while processing will no longer be left marked as completed, which could otherwise result in an institution being invoiced under postpaid billing for an order that never went through, and a new report reconciling CAMS against Wakandi Accounting is planned, alongside a run of smaller fixes.

Already done

  • A Quick Loan no longer falls back to the wrong assignee when no admin matches the credit policy's default branch role; it now auto-approves with no assignee, as expected.
  • The Principal Due figure in repayment reports now shows the amount due for that period instead of the loan's full outstanding balance, correcting repayment rate calculations.
  • A downloaded report now correctly labels itself "Current Year" or "As of Current Date" across PDF, CSV and Excel formats.

Coming soon

  • An order that fails during processing will no longer be left marked as completed, so it can no longer be invoiced under postpaid billing as if it had gone through.
  • A new report reconciling CAMS against Wakandi Accounting is planned, starting with a year-wise portfolio balance by product.
  • The member app will stop showing a "Guarantors are not required" message on a Quick Loan product whose credit policy actually requires guarantors.
  • Staff accounts will no longer be assignable as a SACCO's admin or member, so internal Wakandi accounts can't be used as SACCO users.
  • A CAMS transaction will no longer be left stuck in "posted" status when the accounting post behind it fails.
  • The Quick Loan eligibility a member is shown will reflect their actual policy-computed eligible amount, not the credit policy's maximum.
  • Work continues on giving each SACCO account its own dedicated USSD and WhatsApp channel.
  • Tellers will be able to split a misapplied loan repayment across a member's loans and redistribute it across principal, interest, charges and penalties, instead of relying on automatic allocation.
  • An installment will move to Due status on its due date even when its loan product has no overdue charges configured, instead of staying stuck.
  • Loan application documents will be visible and downloadable again from the redesigned admin view's Documents tab.
  • A loan whose reschedule or top-up application was approved, but whose new loan was then rejected, will no longer disappear from outstanding-loan reports and dashboards.
  • A member import that leaves some rows without a phone number or email will no longer fail the whole file with an internal error.
  • Users with the General Manager, Teller or Credit Officer role will be able to download a Disbursed Loan Schedule, matching their existing report access.
  • A loan statement download error on certain loan products will be fixed.
