cash and bank settings move into Accounting, and stuck orders retry themselves

Planned for: 15 October 2026

Plans can change between now and release day. Anything below can move to a later build.

Summary

Cash and bank account settings move out of CAMS Settings and into Accounting's own ledger configuration, and an order that gets stuck in Pending after a payment provider or other integrated service times out will be retried automatically instead of needing a manual fix, with the teller approval flow becoming configurable for non-cash requests alongside a run of smaller improvements.

Coming soon

  • Cash and bank account settings move out of CAMS Settings. Teller and related flows will use Accounting's own ledgers directly.
  • An order stuck in Pending after a payment provider or other integrated service times out will be automatically retried, instead of needing a manual fix.
  • The teller approval flow will become configurable: a non-cash request will complete automatically once approved, while a cash request will still require the teller's own action.
  • SACCOs with branches will be able to post branch-level incomes and expenses separately in Accounting.
  • Blacklisting defaulters from the Quick Loan product will be supported.
  • Release Funds will work correctly when a loan is at a zero balance.
  • USSD Pay to Account will support repaying a loan account on someone else's behalf, not just a savings account.
  • The member app's Repay screen will show a clear message instead of "no current outstanding amount" when repayment details fail to load, at an institution in Kenya.
  • A staff admin account that registers a new member from their own session will no longer appear to vanish from CAMS after a later edit to that member, at an institution in Uganda.
  • A member app login error that showed an unreadable message is being fixed, at an institution in Kenya.
  • A further round of Admin App V2 interface fixes lands, covering image previews, switching SACCO or branch, the client invitation link, and client detail edits.
  • A teller withdrawal will be blocked when the paying bank or mobile money balance is zero, instead of letting the balance go negative.
  • A set of mobile app security hardening fixes from this year's security audit is planned.
