Set Up an Everlasting QuickLoan Campaign (Generic Open Amount)

Summary

One QuickLoan campaign, one link that keeps working — even for members who missed, deleted, or forgot the original text message.

About 3 minutes to read. Also called: Generic Open Amount, evergreen link, always-on campaign, QR code campaign, WhatsApp loan link.

Why it matters

A normal QuickLoan text reaches a member once. If they delete it, lose their phone for a day, or just don't act on it right away, that offer is effectively gone until you run another campaign. The Everlasting link fixes that without changing anything about the offer — same members, same amounts, same approval. It just gives them a second, permanent way to reach it.

A quick example

Grace got a QuickLoan text three weeks ago and deleted it by mistake. She's been meaning to check whether she still qualifies. She spots a QR code sticker at the teller counter, scans it with her phone, types in her number, and gets a one-time code by SMS. She enters the code — and there's her offer, the exact amount she was already approved for. She taps it, confirms, and the money lands in her account in seconds. Nothing about the process is different from if she'd tapped the original text that same day.

James tries the same link out of curiosity, just to see what it does. He's never been sent a QuickLoan offer, so after he verifies his number he simply sees "No offers available right now." Nothing is broken — he's just not one of the members currently eligible, and the link tells him that honestly instead of pretending otherwise.

How it's different from a normal campaign link

A normal QuickLoan text gives each member their own one-time link, tied to their phone number and built into that message. The Everlasting link is the opposite: it's one link, shared with everyone, that works out who's asking by requesting their phone number and confirming it with an SMS code — every time, for as long as the link exists.

Where the offers actually come from

Worth understanding before you rely on this: the Everlasting link doesn't create new offers by itself. It shows offers your normal QuickLoan campaigns have already created. Run a campaign the usual way (see Run a loan campaign), and every member it reaches becomes eligible on the Everlasting link too — automatically, with nothing extra to set up. Stop running campaigns, and there's nothing new for the link to show.

That cuts both ways, exactly as you'd want:

  • A member with an active offer sees it on the link — even if they never opened, or already deleted, the original text.
  • A member who's never been part of a campaign sees nothing, like James above. The link can't be fooled into showing an offer that doesn't exist.

Keeping your normal campaigns running is what keeps this link worth sharing.

What happens when a member uses it

  1. They type their phone number.
  2. A one-time code arrives by SMS to confirm it's really them.
  3. If they're eligible, their offer appears — showing their own approved amount, not a shared maximum. A member with more than one active offer sees a short list to pick from.
  4. From there they land on the exact same application screen a personal text link would have opened — same amount slider, same terms, same one-tap apply, same instant payout. It's genuinely the same page; the Everlasting link is only how they got there.
  5. Not eligible right now? They see a clean "no offers available" message — no dead ends, nothing else to fill in.

Get one for your SACCO

Your Wakandi contact sets this up for you, with your SACCO's own logo, colours and QuickLoan terms, on a permanent web address. Ask for one if you don't already have it.

Once it's live, you don't need to touch it again. There's no end date to manage and nothing to relaunch — the same link keeps showing whoever's currently eligible, for as long as you want to keep sharing it.

Ideas for where to put the link

It's just a web address, so it goes anywhere a normal link goes. A few ways SACCOs use it:

  • A QR code at the teller counter or branch entrance. Print a small sign: "Got a QuickLoan text and lost it? Scan here to check your offer." Any free QR code generator turns the link into a scannable code — print it, laminate it, done.
  • Your WhatsApp Business status or profile. Post it with a line like: "💰 Already approved for a QuickLoan? Check your offer here: [your link]" — update the caption each time you run a fresh campaign round.
  • A WhatsApp broadcast or group message to existing members. Same idea, sent directly rather than posted: "Reminder: if you got a QuickLoan offer from us recently, you can check and apply any time here: [your link]"
  • The footer of a printed statement or receipt. A short line like "Missed our QuickLoan text? [your link]" reaches members who bank in person more than by phone.
  • Your SACCO's Facebook page or website. Works exactly like the WhatsApp caption above — a short, friendly line plus the link.
  • A loan officer's signature or business card. Useful for members who ask about QuickLoan in person; staff can simply say "check this link" instead of promising to follow up.

There's no QR code generator built into CAMS for this today — you're just turning a plain link into a picture with any QR tool, the same way you would for any other website address.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • A member says the link shows "no offers available." That's correct behaviour if they haven't been reached by an active QuickLoan campaign yet — nothing is wrong with the link. Check Track and manage your campaigns to confirm a campaign is currently running.
  • Does the link expire? No. It's a permanent address. The offers it shows change as your campaigns do, but you never need to reissue or refresh the link itself.
  • Is the amount the same for every member? No. Each member sees only their own approved amount, exactly as on a personal text link — nothing about the Everlasting link changes how amounts are decided.
  • Can I use the link on its own, without running a normal campaign first? No — it only shows offers a normal campaign has already created. Running the campaign is still what makes members eligible; the Everlasting link is just a second, permanent way for them to reach that same offer.
  • Is applying through the link slower or less safe than a personal text link? No. Once a member's phone is verified, they land in the exact same application and payout process a personal link would have opened — same checks, same speed, same result, whichever way they got there.
