self-service member onboarding moves forward

Planned for: 29 October 2026

Plans can change between now and release day. Anything below can move to a later build.

Summary

Self-service member onboarding over the web and USSD moves forward, letting a member register themselves instead of going through an admin, and OTP-based onboarding, which can fail on feature phones or weak networks, is replaced with back-end verification, alongside a run of smaller fixes.

Coming soon

  • Self-service member onboarding over the web and USSD moves forward, letting a member register themselves instead of going through an admin.
  • OTP-based onboarding, which can fail in the field on feature phones or weak networks, is replaced with back-end verification.
  • Loan officers and admins will be able to self-serve more basic configuration changes, such as adjusting interest rates or correcting a member profile.
  • Two members can no longer be created with the same Member ID when two registrations are submitted at the same time.
  • A login that gets stuck loading after credentials and a one-time code are submitted, on some laptops, is being fixed.
