Set the budget and credit limits for a Quick Loan campaign

Summary

Choose the loan product and set the money side of a Quick Loan campaign on the Product and Budget step. About 5 minutes, 11 steps. Also called: campaign budget, lending amount, savings multiplier, credit product policy.

Prerequisites

  • Your Wakandi Admin Portal sign-in, with access to Campaigns.
  • A Credit Product Policy already set up, so there is one to pick.
  • The total amount your SACCO is willing to lend on this run.

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in to the Wakandi Admin Portal.

  2. In the left sidebar, expand Campaigns and click Run Campaign. The recommended campaign cards load.

  4. Set your member filters until at least one member is matched, then click Next. Check that the stepper now highlights Product and Budget.

  5. Under Loan product, use the Credit Product Policy (CPP) search and choose a policy.

  6. Read the details that appear: Interest rate, Tenure, Min loan (per member) and Max loan (per member). You cannot change them here.

  7. Enter a Savings Multiplier. It takes a whole number from 1 to 1000, and a default may already be filled in.

  8. Tick Interest Upfront if the interest should be taken off at disbursement. Leave it clear if not.

  9. Set How much you want to lend out? with the slider or the amount box. This is the total for the whole run.

  10. Read Expected earnings. It is worked out from the interest rate, the tenure and the lending amount.

  11. Click Next to open Messaging.

Note: Expected earnings is a planning estimate. Actual earnings may differ.

Common pitfalls & FAQ

  • Next is greyed out. It stays disabled until the CPP and the required lending fields are complete. Go back over both sections.
  • My CPP search finds nothing. Try a different search term. If it still finds nothing, check the policy list under Settings, Policies, Credit Product Policy.
  • The stepper goes from members straight to Messaging. Some products skip Product and Budget. Follow that product's path instead.
  • How high should the Savings Multiplier be? The field accepts anything from 1 to 1000, so one extra digit changes the run a great deal. Agree the figure with your credit team first.
  • I want to change a figure after moving on. Click an earlier completed step in the stepper to go back. Leaving the page altogether discards the unfinished form.
