Introduction to savings reports
Summary
Pick the right savings report: the day-to-day extract, the position at one date, or the accounts outside policy limits. About 2 minutes · 4 steps. Also called: savings reports, deposit reports, savings snapshot, savings balance.
Prerequisites
- A CAMS sign-in with rights to open Reports.
- The date or date range you want to report on.
- The branch you want, if your SACCO runs more than one.
Step-by-step
Sign in to CAMS.
In the left menu, click Reports, then Savings. The Saving Reports hub opens with one card per savings report.

Figure 1: The Saving Reports hub, reached from Reports then Savings, with a card for each report: Saving Report, Saving Beyond Policy Limits Report and Saving Snapshot Report Pick the card that matches your question. Saving Report lists saving accounts and balances for the filters you choose. Saving Snapshot Report gives the savings position as at one date. Saving Beyond Policy Limits Report lists accounts past the policy limits set for your SACCO, so compliance can follow them up.
Click the card, set the filters, such as dates, branch and product, then run and download it the way the first lesson shows.
Common pitfalls & FAQ
- Saving Report or Saving Snapshot Report? The Saving Report is the day-to-day extract for the filters you set. The Snapshot freezes the position at one date, which is what you want at period-end.
- The totals look too small. You may have a single branch selected. Change the branch filter, then click Submit again.
- I need a statement for one saving account. That card, Saving Account Statement Report, sits on the Loan hub, not here. The loan reports lesson lists it.
