Choose which background jobs run for a credit association
Summary
Turn the background jobs on or off for one credit association, so its automatic processes run as intended. About 4 minutes - 7 steps. Also called: scheduled tasks, automated jobs, job configuration.
Prerequisites
- A superadmin sign-in for the CAMS Superadmin Portal. Only superadmin users can open or change this tab.
- The name or ID of the Sacco you are configuring.
- Agreement from your operations team on which jobs this Sacco needs.
Step-by-step
- Sign in to the CAMS Superadmin Portal.
- In the left menu, click Credit Associations. You'll see the list of Saccos.
- Search for the Sacco by name or ID, then click it. Its profile opens.
- Click the Jobs tab. The jobs appear in two columns, each with a checkbox.
- Read the job names before you change anything. Each name describes what the job does, for example Jobs.Loan.Accrual and Jobs.TransactionReconcileJob. Jobs cover areas such as loans, subscriptions, notifications and repayments.
- Tick the checkbox beside each job this Sacco should run. Clear a checkbox to stop that job.
- Click Save at the bottom. The job configuration for this Sacco updates.
Warning: Nothing is applied until you click Save. If you navigate away first, your changes are lost.
Note: Some jobs depend on others. Turning off Loan Accrual can affect Interest Payout, so check related jobs before you save.
Common pitfalls & FAQ
- I cannot see the Jobs tab. Only superadmin users can open and change it.
- I ticked a job but nothing happened. Changes apply only after Save. Open the tab again and check your ticks are still there.
- Interest is not posting for this Sacco. Check that the loan accrual job is ticked. Interest Payout can be affected when Loan Accrual is off.
- Transactions are not reconciling. Check that the transaction reconciliation job is ticked.
- A warning appeared when I cleared a job. The portal can warn you when a critical job is deselected. Read the warning before you save.
- Should I clear every checkbox? No. Essential background processes must stay on.
- Which jobs should this Sacco have? There is no standard list that suits every Sacco. Ask your operations team before you change a live one.
