Accessing reports in CAMS
Summary
Find any report in CAMS, run it with the right filters, and download the figures. Every report follows the same road; learn it once here. About 3 minutes · 6 steps. Also called: view reports, run a report, reports menu, export, download report.
Prerequisites
- A CAMS sign-in with access to the Reports module.
- The date range and branch you want to report on.
Step-by-step
Sign in to CAMS. If you are not sure how, see How to sign in and navigate CAMS Admin.
In the left menu, click Reports. The menu expands into categories: Loan, Savings, Share, Transactions, Account, Client, SASRA, MSP and Statement.

Figure 1: The Reports menu expanded in the left sidebar, showing the report categories Loan, Savings, Share, Transactions, Account, Client and Statement, ready for you to pick one Click the category that matches your question:
- Loan and Savings: the loan book and the savings book; their own lessons follow.
- Share: share balances and snapshots. Transactions: daily, fee, expense and reversed postings.
- Account: balances and account movements. Client: member lists. Statement: member and account statements.
Click the card you want. The report viewer opens with filter fields and the Submit, Clear and Download buttons. Clear resets the filters for a fresh query.
Set the filters, then click Submit. The results load as a grid below. Filters change nothing on their own; the grid updates only when you click Submit.
Wait until the grid has finished loading, then click Download and choose Excel, CSV or PDF. The file lands in your browser's downloads folder.
Tip: A long date range over a large book runs slowly. Narrow the range if a report drags.
Note: SASRA and MSP hold regulatory returns and work differently: Save stores a snapshot and Saved Reports reopens it. The final lesson walks through one.
This course: loan and savings reports next, then the daily transaction check and member statements. After that: accounting reports, the financial year, reconciling balances, and the SASRA return.
Common pitfalls & FAQ
- The report comes back empty. Check the date range and the branch, then click Submit again. Most blanks are a period or branch with no activity.
- The download is missing rows. You clicked Download before the grid finished. Let it load fully, and Submit again after each filter change.
- I cannot find the trial balance or income statement. The SACCO's own books live under Accounting > Reports, not here. A later lesson covers them.
- There is no print button. Download the PDF and print it from your PDF viewer.
